Arsenal go three points clear at top of Premier League after thumping win over Chelsea
Havertz and White both score twice during dominant Gunners victory
Arsenal moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a dominant 4-0 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Kai Havertz put the Gunners ahead in the first half with a stunning long-range strike, and Ben White doubled the lead just before the break with a header from a corner.
Havertz added his second of the game early in the second half with another clinical finish, and White completed the scoring with a close-range effort late on.
The win was Arsenal's sixth in a row in the Premier League, and it moved them three points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table. Chelsea, meanwhile, remain in eighth place after their third defeat in their last four games.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was delighted with his team's performance, saying: "I'm very happy with the result and the performance. We were dominant from the start and we created a lot of chances. We could have scored more goals, but I'm happy with the four we got."
Chelsea manager Graham Potter was disappointed with his team's performance, saying: "We were not at our best today. We made too many mistakes and Arsenal punished us. We need to learn from this and move on."
