Sergio Pérez Extends Contract with Oracle Red Bull Racing
Two More Years for the Mexican Driver
His First Monaco Grand Prix Victory Earns Him a Contract Extension
Following a superb drive to win last weekend's Monaco Grand Prix, Sergio Pérez will be an Oracle Red Bull Racing driver for another two years. The team confirmed on Tuesday that they have handed Pérez a two-year contract extension that will keep him with the team until at least the end of the 2024 season.
Pérez has been in impressive form since joining Red Bull at the start of the 2021 season. He has scored two victories, including his maiden win at the Monaco Grand Prix, and has played a vital role in helping the team to two constructors' championships.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said: "Checo has been a valuable asset to the team since joining us last year. He is a proven race winner and a consistent performer, and we are delighted to have him with us for the next two years."
Pérez said: "I am very happy to be continuing with Oracle Red Bull Racing for the next two years. The team has a great environment and we work very well together. I believe in the team's future and I am excited to be a part of it."
