Updated MLS Philadelphia News: Recent Transfers and Player Acquisitions
Striker Mikael Uhre Joins Philadelphia Union
The Philadelphia Union has recently acquired Swedish striker Mikael Uhre from Brondby IF in Denmark. Uhre, 28, has signed a three-year contract with the Union, with an option for an additional year.
Uhre is a proven goalscorer, having scored 102 goals in 247 career appearances. He is expected to provide a much-needed boost to the Union's attack, which has struggled to find consistency in recent seasons.

The Philadelphia Union has also announced that midfielder Jesus Medina has signed a new contract with the club. The new deal will keep Medina in Philadelphia until 2026.
Medina, 25, has been a key player for the Union since joining the club in 2018. He has made 103 appearances for the Union, scoring 22 goals and providing 20 assists.

In addition to Uhre and Medina, the Philadelphia Union has also made several other notable transfers this offseason.
- Defender Kai Wagner has been acquired from FC Schalke 04 in Germany.
- Midfielder Leon Flach has been acquired from FC Augsburg in Germany.
- Goalkeeper Matt Freese has been acquired from the Columbus Crew
